The narrative is now gaining popularity way beyond its local origins, thanks to the discovery of a forgotten temple well that was buried behind trash and rubble. By posting a popular film that demonstrates how community activity can revitalize heritage sites, actor R Madhavan recently brought attention to the inspiring turnaround. Online praise for the touching restoration of Andhra Pradesh's 500-year-old temple well has shown how a single social media post can inspire widespread involvement and bring about change.
The movie demonstrated how, when Kanth persuaded locals to take action, the temple well—once abandoned and overflowing with trash—began to garner significant public attention. His viral appeal inspired locals to band together and clean the building. In a matter of days, a large number of volunteers volunteered to clear the well of accumulated debris, fix the brickwork, and repair it. What started out as an abandoned heritage property has now become a source of pride for the neighborhood.
Telugu Abbayi Kanth also provided information regarding the restoration effort's broader objective. He clarified that he established the Purva Sampada Rakshaka Sena to concentrate on cleaning historic temples, wells, and heritage buildings that are frequently abandoned and overflowing with trash. He claims that the group currently has about 40 members that go to various locations to perform restoration work, frequently hiring cars and handling transportation and food costs.
