India's first large pvt gold mine in Andhra Pradesh to soon begin full-scale production

He claimed that the Jonnagiri gold project had obtained environmental approval in June and July and that state approvals had also been requested. On the fringes of the CII India Mining Summit 2025, Hanuma Prasad, Managing Director of Deccan Gold Mines Ltd., stated, "The project stabilization is ongoing... only the plant's technology is being worked out... full-scale production will begin very soon."
"India's production of gold as of today is 1.5 tonnes... once our mine starts, nearly one more tonne will be added," he said. The gold mine is situated in the Tuggali Mandalam in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, close to the villages of Jonnagiri, Erragudi, and Pagadirayi.
